GANGTOK

This modern capital city of Sikkim is encircled by pristine mountainous terrain and joyful weather. Facing the majestic Kanchenjunga Mountain, the world’s 3rd highest mountain, Gangkot is the Gateway to Sikkim. Also, the city is a gateway to the mountains of Himalayan ranges for trekkers and adventure lovers. The bird-eye, spectacular view of the city from a cable car can leave one captivated. Tsomgo Lake - Gangtok

NAMCHI

Namchi, a market town, is one of the rapidly emerging tourist destinations. ‘Top of the Sky’ as the word Namchi means, the city is stuffed with several luxurious accommodation options, restaurants and eateries dedicated to the tourists who keep coming here round the year. The city has attained fame in the tourism community due to its massive statue, largest in the world, of Guru Padmasambhava, standing tall at a height of 135feet. After Gangtok, if there is any town in Sikkim that is attracting global attention due to its natural aesthetics and beautiful sceneries, then it is Pelling. This place has emerged as a famous destination for meditations, village tours, rock climbing, mountain biking, trekking, etc. All these activities make this town a top choice for nature and adventure enthusiasts. One can get glimpses of Kanchenjunga and Himalayas from here. Pelling is located at an altitude of around 7200 feet. This town hosts Kanchenjunga Festival every year which attracts tourists from all over. YUKSOM

Nestling in the Western Sikkim, this small village boasts of serene beauty of nature, encompassed with lush green foliage and mountains. Not only natural beauty but this small village is historically rich. The first Chogyal was said to be crowned in Yuksom in 1642. This place impresses everyone with its scenic, virgin beauty that is hidden but is rewarding. YUMTHANG

Yumthang Valley is one of the most exotic places to visit in Sikkim which is full of yaks, rivers, water bodies, hot springs, flourishing green landscapes which make it look like a paradise on earth. Popularly known as ‘Valley of Flowers’; this place has more than 24 species of Rhododendron. These flowers blossom during February to June and make it incredibly beautiful. Mind that this valley remains closed between December and March; the reason being heavy snowfall. Yumthang Valley is located at 3564m of altitude which is close to Tibet. The valley has many hot water springs which give warmth in the freezing cold temperature of the area.
