MEETING THE TREEMAN: THAR DESERT
Can you think of GREEN SAND DUNES – yes, this seems like a difficult task, but this octogenarian Mr. Ranaram Bishnoi of Ekalkhori village has single-handedly achieved this. He has planted about 27,000 trees like Bougainvillea and indigenous trees like Neem, Khejri(local tree of Rajasthan) in a village near Osiyan – where the great Thar desert begins. The experience is to interact with him and his family over a traditional humble meal to understand his journey and commitment to protecting the ecology. He has inspired the younger generation of his village to actively engage in the conservation of the environment. You will plant a tree and water it together with Mr. Ranaram as a Ritual.
