GULMARG
This grandiose hill station is located in the striking Himalayan range; Gulmarg is a nature’s gift to Jammu and Kashmir. Since the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering is located here, the place has now developed as a major adventure activity destination. Deep gorges, giant mountains covered with snow, valleys painted in green, surrounded drenched with the scent of flowers; Gulmarg transforms your imagination in the real world. Several kings have visited here and spent time along with families. Some sources claim that Mughal Emperor Jahangir used to visit this place to relax and rejuvenate. The notable Central Asian explorer, Sir Marc Aural Stein stayed here during the 20th century while he was on expeditions.
