Our journey begins with a whirlwind tour of Mumbai and quickly moves to Madhya Pradesh (Central India) Kipling Country. This is the land of Jungle Book, where the descendants of Sheer Khan the tiger still prowl. For many observers, this is the true land of the tiger: not only does it have the highest tiger population in India; it also has some of the most exciting habitats anywhere in the tiger’s range.
“Land of the Tigers” is a exclusively designed to pump up the adrenaline rush in you, this tour takes you close to the flora & fauna.
The open barking deer watches you pass; sambar seems immense and dark shadows cast by huge trees, as giant squirrels hop from branch to branch in their dense canopies; racquet-tail drongos shrill loudly and flash their peculiar tails; everywhere one senses the presence of the tiger and expects to encounter it around each corner…

Tour Itinerary : - Land of the Tigers

Day 1: Arrive Mumbai

Arrive at Mumbai International airport. After completing the immigration and customs, proceed towards the arrival area. Meeting and assistance on arrival with a traditional welcome of garlanding and transfer to the hotel (the room being held from the previous day).
After leisurely breakfast, set off to explore the financial capital of India, Mumbai.
The full-day trip will include highlights like the excursion to Elephanta Caves followed by the visit of Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
This morning, you will be transferred to the Gateway of India to board the motor launch for an hour’s travel, the only way to access the Caves located 22 km of the coast of Mumbai. An amazing collection of 7th-century rock-cut caves containing a fine example of Hindu architecture. The beauty and power of these sculptures are dedicated to Shiva depicting the different manifestations of Shiva.
We disembark at Gateway of India, built to commemorate the visit of King George and Queen Mary to India in 1911 and the only gateway available to India before the invention of air travel.
This will be followed by the drive along the Marine drive, known as the Queen’s Necklace. Dedicated to the first Jain Tirthankara, these Jain temples are constructed with marble. We will drive across the Tower of Silence which is a round stone structure where the Parsi people leave their dead ones so that the vultures can eat them. We will also visit Hanging Gardens, constructed over Bombay’s reservoir.
We cannot miss the Dhobi Ghats, a huge open-air laundry, followed by the visit to Mani Bhawan (Gandhi Memorial), the house where the Father of the Nation stayed on his early visits to the city. We will wind up the day with the visit of Prince of Wales Museum, established in the 20th Century boasts of a significant collection of Indus valley artifacts and the miniature paintings – nearly 2000 of them are from various stylistic schools of India. Day 2, Mumbai to Raipur: Flight & Raipur to Kanha : 250 km/about 6 hrs

This morning, departure transfer to Mumbai airport to board the flight to Raipur, which is one amongst the closest airports to Kanha, the National Park of India located in Central India, Madhya Pradesh.
Meeting on arrival at Raipur airport and driving to Kanha National Park – Considered as India's greatest national park by some is home to many species in their natural habitat. In 1933, it was first declared as a small sanctuary and then in 1955, it was upgraded to a national park.
Kanha NP is the only national park that has sheltered rare hard-ground swamp deer (barasingha) which was almost on the verge of extinction. The terrain consists of an attractive forest with bamboo brakes, grassy plateaus and meadows in the valleys. A healthy population of the big cat is a major lure.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. You can take a nature walk around the resort as they are quite spread out.

Day 3: Kanha

Early morning and afternoon embark on a safari through the Kanha National Park, which expands over almost 950 sq km of grassland and forest.
We also have the option to explore Tribal villages.

Day 6, Kanha to Pench : 240 km / about 5 hrs

This morning after leisurely breakfast, we drive to Pench – the forest which inspired Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book.
Established in 1975, Pench National Park is located in the lower southern reaches of Satpura Hills. The national park has been named after Rive Pench which passes from north to south across the park. The park borders with Maharashtra, situated in Chhindwara and Seoni districts of Madhya Pradesh’s southern boundary. Pench National Park covers an area of around 758 sq km, while around 299 sq km area is allotted for the national park whereas the buffer area is spread in the rest of 464 sq km.
On arrival, check-in at the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. You can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature by taking a walk around the resort.

Day 8, Pench to Nagpur : 90kms/about 2.5 hrs to Mumbai: Flight

This morning you are at leisure or depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Nagpur airport to board the flight to Mumbai for your onward international flight back home with the mesmerizing memories of the trip Lands of The Tigers.
