Hailing from a family of artitsts, Abhijit became interested in the French language at a very young age. He pursued his Ph.D. on travelogues, but his passion of showcasing his country to the people coming from outside India took him to the profession of guiding.
Abhijit accompanies French-speaking tourists to Rajasthan and North-East India. He is also a writer. His interview with Arienne Mnouchkine and Michel Tournier published in the Indian press have received appreciations.
Abhijit in the recent years has specialized in untradtional tours of Bengal and North-East India. He is an avid reader, a good cook. He also has his own interest in the religious aspects of life.
